Lala Chunnamal was said to be the richest denizen of Shajahanabad in the middle of the 19th century. His 126 room haveli (large mansion)at the heart of Chandni Chowk replaced the Mughal court as the cynosure of Delhi after the failed revolt of 1857.

Losing Heritage- the case of Chunnamal's haveli is a film about how the glory of those days has now become obscured in the hustle-bustle of a contemporary metropolis that does not care to either remember or properly preserve its heritage.

It was also selected for Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF), 2006 , for SIGNS 2006, the Festival of Documentaries and Short Films in Video, Thiruvananthapuram , Kerela

and three other festivals.
